When you arrive at Dragonfly Health for one of our tests, please make sure you are wearing a mask or protective face covering over your nose and mouth. This should only be lowered when asked by our clinical staff in order to collect the testing sample. The sample will be collected by taking a swab of your upper nasal cavity, which is processed on-site. The swab, which only takes a brief moment, is mildly uncomfortable and should not cause any pain. We will provide you with guidance on how to take the swab and help with anything other questions you may have. Additional steps are required for the insurance.
In accordance with the Executive Order President Biden signed on January 21, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) together with the Department of Labor and the Department of the Treasury issued new guidance removing barriers to COVID-19 diagnostic testing. Private group health plans and issuers cannot deny coverage or impose cost-sharing for COVID-19 diagnostic testing.
