Process for the Rapid Covid-19 Test

What locations can I visit for COVID-19 tests?

COVID-19 rapid testing is available at our Turnersville Location by appointment only. COVID-19 tests begin with a telemedicine visit with one of our providers. This will allow a Dragonfly Health clinician to determine whether you meet the qualifications for a rapid test.   At the end of your telemedicine visit, you’ll receive a referral to come into our Turnersville location for coronavirus testing. We offer a drive-up swab test.

What should I do to prepare for my rapid test?

When you arrive at Dragonfly Health for a rapid test, please make sure you are wearing a mask or protective face covering over your nose and mouth. This should only be lowered when asked by our clinical staff in order to collect the testing sample. The sample will be collected by taking a gentle swab of your upper nasal cavity, which is processed on-site. The swab, which only takes a brief moment, is mildly uncomfortable and should not cause any pain. We will provide you with guidance on how to take the swab as well as all your needs inside a bag along with your instructions.

Cepheid Genexpert Xpress

Cepheid has developed an automated molecular test for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The test leverages the design principles of our current Xpert Xpress Flu/RSV cartridge technology, in which multiple regions of the viral genome are targeted. The test can provide rapid detection of the current coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in as soon as 30 minutes for positive results.
